Win up to 1 million air miles with Turkish Airlines Miles and Smiles

Last week I wrote an article about how to get 750 free Turkish Airlines miles by updating your personal details. Now Turkish Airlines are running another promotion – this time it is a competition to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their loyalty scheme Miles and Smiles. They are giving away 25 million miles. That is a lot of miles! If you value the miles at 1p/mile, this is the equivalent of giving away £250,000.

The problem with the competition is that it is very shambolic! Visit www.25millionmiles.com to see for yourself. The website states that there is 1 prize of 1 million miles and 240 prizes of 100,000 miles. The email newsletter I just received states that there is 1 prize of 1 million miles, but 100 prizes of 240,000 miles. I’m not sure which is correct.

It is not quite clear when the competition started – nor when it ends. You need to be a member of Miles and Smiles to take part (you can sign up for a free account here). It isn’t exactly clear how you take part either – as far as I can tell you enter by clicking the ‘yes’ button when you see photos of cities that take your fancy. Entries appear to be limited to 5 per day.

I have entered the competition despite the inadequacies. There are too many big prizes for me to hold back!
